これは、かなり興奮した。 iPadでの電子書籍も iBookstore がちゃんと日本の書籍を揃えるようになるまでは面白くないと思っていたのだが、ポッドキャストできちゃうとなると話は別である。

音声や動画を無料で配信したいという人は、それほど多くはない。特に、企業となるとあまりない。音声コンテンツや動画コンテンツを持ってるところが多いわけでもない。 ところが、電子書籍の形であれば、話は別だ。

フリーペーパーや小冊子、パンフレット、カタログやちょっとしたDM。印刷コストや郵送コストを考えれば、ほんのわずかな出資で電子版がポッドキャストで配信となると、企業でのニーズはグンと増えるはずだ。販売目的の電子書籍ではなく、無料で配布する電子ブックはポッドキャストでの配布はメリットが多いはずである。
